The City Clerk's Office is charged with the responsibility for coordinating all Council and Committee meetings, preparation of agendas and minutes for the meetings, coordinating of municipal elections with the Butte County Clerk's Office, and carrying out responsibilities related to the Political Reform Act.
The City Clerk also acts as liaison between the public, City Departments and Council, coordinates special events or functions attended by the Council and City staff, maintains ordinances, resolutions, and other records.
Where possible, we have now added supporting documentation, reports, staff memos, etc. for certain City Council items.
If you are interested in viewing agendas or minutes of City Council meetings, you can now access them by clicking on the words "City Council Minutes and Agendas" located in the frame to the left. Once you have reached the Minutes and Agendas page you can select the date you are interested in viewing by clicking on it and it will bring up the desired documents. If you are viewing an "Agenda with Reports" document, please note that in order to view the actual staff report associated with that item you will need to:
- scroll to the bookmark of the staff report of interest
- be aware that large documents need time to upload
In some instances files are too large to download or information is not in electronic format and cannot be included on the website. The hard copies are available for review in the City Clerk's office at 411 Main Street. The official posting location for the Agenda is at City Hall City Council Chambers, 421 Main Street, Chico, CA. Information provided on this web site is done as a convenience for the public.
