Climate Action Commission

Overview

The Climate Action Commission serves as an advisory body to the City Council on all matters related to climate action, adaption, and resiliency, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions consistent with State goals through preparation and maintenance of a Climate Action Plan.

The Commission will accept public input on the subject areas noted above and advise Council on ways to drive community awareness and participation in City programs modeled upon the field’s best practices.

The Climate Action Commission meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 421 Main Street.

Agendas are posted to the web the previous Friday, six days before each meeting. Special meetings (such as workshops and site visits) can occur on an as-needed basis. Agendas for these special meetings will be posted to the web a minimum of 72 hours prior to each meeting.
